Sunday 11th May, RSPB-Chesterfield, Car Trip to Whitwell Woods to catch the woodland birds at their busiest with all the new arrivals. Meet at the lay-by on the Staveley to Worksop A619 road at 09.00am. We hope to be guided by a local ranger and a small donation may apply if so.

Sunday 18th May, RSPB-Chesterfield, Today two bird walks will take place in the grounds and gardens of Renishaw Hall in association with Renishaw’s management. The first will be at 08.30 and the second at 16.00. Renishaw Hall standard admission charges will apply. Renishaw are also hosting their noted Rare Plant Fair on the same day and the Chesterfield RSPB Local Group stand will also be in attendance all day.

Meet at Red Lion pub at Stonedge at 20:30. Please play safe and bring your wellies or good boots, as it can be wet in the woods

Wednesday 20th August, RSPB-Chesterfield, An evening car trip to Clumber Park to watch the swallows roosting and hopefully see hobby hunting among the flocks. Meet at the main car park at 20:00 for a look around the main grounds around the church prior to making our way to the ford.
